Katherine Pease

Katherine Pease is an experienced consultant who provides services to nonprofit organizations and foundations to achieve their goals and successfully manage change. Her clients include private and public foundations, associations in philanthropy, nonprofit organizations of all sizes, and public and private sector organizations that work with nonprofit organizations.

From 1995-2001, Ms. Pease served as the founding executive director of the Gill Foundation in Denver, Colorado. In 2001, the Gill Foundation provided over $11 million in grants to nonprofit organizations while operating a comprehensive training and technical assistance program to help people in the nonprofit sector become better fundraisers and managers. In 2001 the Gill Foundation had an asset base of approximately $260 million and a professional staff of 42 people.

Ms. Pease regularly presents at and moderates public discussions in the nonprofit sector on diverse topics, ranging from race and ethnicity in nonprofit organizations, to the roles and responsibilities of trustees of foundations, to public/private partnerships. She holds a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Arts degree from The Colorado College.
